Tax Credit Program (EITC)

Earn Tax Credits for Your Business by Supporting CPYB!

The Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet is recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) as an educational improvement organization. A gift to CPYB can provide your company with a substantial tax credit through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).

By making a contribution to CPYB’s innovative education programs, your company can save in Pennsylvania taxes as much as 90 percent of the value of your donation.  In addition, in this time of waning grant opportunities, your gift will help CPYB to continue to enhance the educational opportunities of students in several local school districts.

How does it work?

An eligible business will be approved for a tax credit equal to 75 percent of its contribution(s) to listed organization(s), up to a maximum of $750,000 per taxable year. The tax credit may be increased to 90 percent of the contribution(s) made, up to a maximum of $750,000 per taxable year, if the business agrees at the time of application to provide the same amount of contribution for two consecutive tax years. To ensure the receipt and retention of the 90 percent tax credit, the business must make the same amount of contribution in each of the two consecutive tax years.
